Skandia, Inc. Benefits Package includes:
Skandia, Inc. employees receive health insurance, with PPO network options available including one that includes a Health Savings Account. Medical coverage begins the 1st of the month following 30 days of full-time employment.
Our benefit package includes dental insurance, including provisions that help reduce out-of-pocket expenses through the use of providers in the network. Dental coverage begins the 1st of the month following 30 days of full-time employment.
Our benefit package includes Vision insurance, including provisions that help reduce out-of-pocket expenses through the use of providers in the network. Vision coverage begins the 1st of the month following 30 days of full-time employment.
401(k) and Roth IRA
Employees are eligible quarterly to participate in the Company’s 401(k) and Roth IRA programs. Depending on the program(s) selected, employees can contribute any amount (up to the federal maximum allowance) of their salary into retirement funds on a pre-tax and post-tax basis.
Skandia matches 100% of the first 3% and 75% of the next 2% of employee eligible contributions. Employees are eligible to participate in both plans the first day of the quarter following their start date. The employer match starts immediately with the employee eligibility and is fully vested.
All eligible employees are covered under a life insurance policy – at no cost to them – that provide coverage to the employee, spouse and eligible dependents.
Skandia provides the employees with AD&D coverage, at no additional cost to them.
Employees who experience unexpected illness or injury are covered by short- or long-term disability protection. Short-term disability benefit are paid for a maximum of 12 weeks. Long-term disability benefits begin after a 90-day elimination period.
All eligible employees can prepare their family for the unexpected by electing supplemental insurance coverage.
